School Closure 4th January 2021

Good Afternoon,

I hope that you have had an enjoyable Christmas break.

Many of you will have heard the announcement yesterday that the government has decided that Havering has to delay the reopening of schools to the majority of children to help stop the spread of Covid 19.

Due to this the school will be closed to all children on Monday 4 January 2021 and open for vulnerable children and children of critical workers from Tuesday 5 January 2021.   If both parents are critical workers and your child requires full time on site provision please email  by 12’clock on Monday 4 January 2021 including the following information:

  • Your name and the child’s name
  • Critical worker status
  • Evidence of both parent/carer’s critical worker status e.g. current work ID /letter from employer.

Remote Learning: This will be provided and set by class teachers from Tuesday 5 January 2021. Further details will follow on Monday 4 January 2021.

Vulnerable children - option of attending.  The school will contact other parents directly by the end of Monday 4 January 2021 if we feel that your child should still attend school (even if they are not critical worker children), as missing further education would be detrimental to their well- being.

Please note that all the above includes the nursery as well.

Have a happy New Year
