Aims and Ethos of the School
The fundamental aims of our school are:
To help each child in our care to;
At Parklands Infants School we believe that …… 'Children Are Our Future'
We believe that children should be happy to come to school each day, ready to take on the challenges that will be presented. They must feel safe and secure in their relationships with those around them and to feel a sense of belonging, of tradition and continuity.
Success is our goal for every child but it is the effort a child puts into activities which is so vital. This effort should be given at least as much recognition as the success it achieves.
Through planned programmes we will offer the children the opportunity to consider spiritual and moral issues and to engage in a variety of cultural experiences.
By developing a conscious mix of co-operative, social interaction and learning which is structured to meet the needs of the individuals, in a caring and supportive community with an attractive and open atmosphere, we aim to provide a lively and stimulating environment for all of the children in our charge, encouraging them to enjoy living and learning.
